10 Weight Loss Hacks

Hi!

So over the years, I’ve discovered 10 weight loss hacks. I like many other people, had/have a new year resolution to become a healthier me and with that I would like to lose some extra pounds.

Here are the 10 hacks:

Consume Coconut Oil//

Studies have shown that coconut oil can aid in weight loss because our bodies quickly absorb it. It can help with increase of energy and it’s not stored as a fat. Although, it can be pretty gross if you don’t like coconut, it’s not as bad as it seems.

Smell Cinnamon//

I know what you’re thinking, “this has got to a joke”, well it’s not. This is mainly if you’re going to be working out because it will increase your alertness and for some reason it manages to motivate and energizes you naturally. This is a great substitute for caffeine as it can later have negative effects.

Exercise Less//

By saying exercise less I don’t mean stop doing it, you’re body burns fat quicker by doing exercise in a shorter spell of time but with a higher intensity. Instead of going on a cross-trainer or a running machine for an hour do 15 minutes of crazy, sweaty heart rate pounding exercise(s). This is the the best for weight loss, I’ll link below a Youtube account which I follow for HIIT training.

Contrast Showers//

I find this really hard to do personally but,  if you have a warm shower for 3 minutes and then a cold for 30 seconds it will relax and contract your blood vessels. Which will help you sleep and give you more energy.

BEAUTY TIP – If you finish off your shower cold it’ll contract your pores meaning it will reduce the amount of spots you get!

Change Plates//

This one is pretty simple but instead of eating from your normal plate, eat from a smaller plate than you would usually do. There’s a lot of studies that have shown that eating from a smaller plate will trick your brain into thinking you are eating more than what you usually are. So when you finish your meal you’ll psychologically feel fuller and not continue to over eat. This also applies to bowls.

Wake Up With Water//

This is such an easy step to add to your daily routine, wake up with water every single day. This little hack will seriously boost your metabolism. If you have two glasses of cold water every morning it will boost your metabolism up to something ridiculous like 30% which can help with weight loss or it means you can have another small meal!

Put Down Your Folk//

A lot of us when we’re hungry (especially myself) we eat super fast, but for your brain to register that we’ve put food into our body and that our stomach is actually full, by putting down the folk after every bite or even eaten slower you will be less likely to overeat.

Light A Vanilla Candle//

This one for me is pretty easy for me as I have vanilla candles everywhere! But by lighting a candle scented like vanilla, it has been shown that it will dampen your appetite for wanting dessert after you’ve eaten dinner or even during the day if you want to snack on something sweet.

Brush Your Teeth//

If you brush your teeth after the last meal that you have you will help discourage late night snacking.

Eat Less But More//

One of the most healthiest things you could do is to eat smaller but more frequent meals, this can be important as it will help you not to snack and if you skip meals you’ll get more hungry and then possibly eat more. By eating every 2 hours, you’ll tend to eat less as you won’t be as hungry.
