Green Tea Isn’t Just for Drinking!

Green tea has been becoming increasingly popular throughout the world due to it’s numerous health benefits. It contains a high amount of antioxidants as well as enzymes, amino acids, and phytochemicals like polyphenols. It also has B vitamins, folate, manganese, potassium, magnesium and caffeine.

As well as it’s health benefits it has an impressive list of skin and health care benefits too!

To enhance your beauty you can use green tea in beauty masks, also by drinking a cup or two of this a day!

Here are my Β 5 favourite green tea benefits:

Face Scrub//

This is a really good facial scrub for sensitive skin, it will help even out your skin tones and help with moisture in your skin!

To make this face scrub all you need is 1-2 green tea bags you then cut it open and pour the content into a clean bowl, crush them slightly and add one tablespoon of honey and mix them together until you get a paste. You can now use it as a face scrub and rinse.

Facial Toner//

Due to the powerful antioxidant which is in green tea it helps to slow down the ageing process, it can also prevent acne! It also can be used as a natural toner to help remove impurities and unclog your pores!

For making facial toner just fill a bottle with green tea and that’s it, it’s ready to use.

Face Mask//

Just like the facial toner green tea is packed with antioxidants that help with repair damage cells and also help fight free radicals making it very effective for your skin. It’s also great for all skin types as it’s a natural product.

To make the face mask all you have to do it take 2 tablespoons of full-fat yoghurt and one tablespoon of green tea leaves. You then mix them together, apply the mask for 20 minutes and then rinse off.

Hair Rinse//

The antioxidants which are present within the green tea stimulate your hair follicles. Vitamin E is also present within green tea, this helps to condition and moisturise your hair.

To make the hair rinse just boil water, then remove it from the eat and add 1 tea bag for every 250ml of water. Then let it cool down and apply it on wet or damp hair and let it sit for 20 minutes then wash it out.

Bath Soak//

Not only does the green tea help refresh your body but it also helps your tired muscles to relax.

To make this bath sock all you have to do is fill your bath tub with water, and pour some green tea bags in it. It gives the feeling of being at a Spa while also brightening up your skin!
